Greer founded CSETI (1990) and the Disclosure Project (1993) to grant 'amnesty' to insiders who break secrecy oaths. The May 9, 2001 event drew ~21 testifying witnesses (Greer claimed a ~400-witness pool) and a record National Press Club webcast audience; testimony was published as the book 'Disclosure' (2001). CSETI's CE-5 Initiative trains volunteers in contact protocols. The event, witnesses, and book are DOCUMENTED; the claim that the testimony 'proves' ET visitation and a reverse-engineering cover-up is CLAIM (the Washington Post noted little scientific evidence beyond witness authority; AARO later found no support for hidden reverse-engineering programs).
