Swedish Air Force officer who led the ~3-week secret military search of Lake Kolmjarv after the 19 Jul 1946 ghost-rocket 'crash'.
The search recovered nothing beyond a disturbed lake bottom. Bartoll proposed the object was made of a lightweight material that 'disintegrated' - documented as his interpretation, disputed as fact; he maintained decades later that real physical objects were seen.
