Curated with Dr David Clarke as external advisor, the release drew on records from the Directorate Air Staff (the public 'UFO desk') and the Defence Intelligence Staff, including correspondence, parliamentary business, and policy papers. Reported as roughly 60,000 pages overall across ~10 batches (e.g., a 6,785-page batch; a final 2013 tranche of 4,000+ pages covering the desk's last years). The 2013 batch documented the December 2009 closure of the UFO desk.
