Mount Hermon is a real mountain at the junction of Lebanon, Syria, and Israel. In the apocryphal Book of Enoch it is named as the place where the Watchers (fallen angels) descended and sired the Nephilim. Ancient-astronaut writers reinterpret this as an extraterrestrial landing/base site. The biblical/Enochian association is genuine scripture-folklore; the alien-base framing is modern speculative reinterpretation.
