On 11 November 2014, the crew of a Chilean Navy AS-532 Cougar helicopter filmed an unidentified object for about 9 minutes on a WESCAM MX-15 forward-looking infrared (FLIR) camera; the object was not on radar and appeared to emit two hot plumes. Chile's official UAP body CEFAA released the footage in January 2017 saying they could only conclude "what it was not." Skeptics (Mick West / Metabunk) argue it was a distant commercial airliner (flight IB6830/LA330) and its contrail. It remains a documented but disputed FLIR case.
