[DOCUMENTED] Then-Major, IIAF squadron commander who flew the second F-4 Phantom in the 19 Sep 1976 Tehran intercept. Reported a radar lock at ~27 nm, then loss of AIM-9 weapons and communications as he closed, plus a smaller object releasing toward his aircraft. Later retired as a general.
