Official RCMP report and multi-day Royal Canadian Navy seafloor dive search after a 4 Oct 1967 object splashdown off Nova Scotia; nothing recovered.
After multiple witnesses (including RCMP officers) saw an object descend into the water off Shag Harbour on 4 October 1967, Canadian authorities ruled out aircraft, flares and floats and officially labelled it a 'UFO' in RCC/RCAF/RCN telexes. The Navy's Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic and HMCS Granby searched the seafloor for days, recovering nothing. Records are held by Library and Archives Canada. It is one of nine 1967 cases warranting on-site Canadian military investigation and is called Canada's best-documented UFO case.
