Stefan Michalak was a Winnipeg industrial mechanic and the central witness in the Falcon Lake incident of 20 May 1967, when he claimed to encounter a landed craft in Manitoba and was burned on the chest, allegedly by a blast of hot gas. His grid-pattern burns were treated by physicians and remain on medical record, making it one of Canada's best-documented physical-trace cases. The ultimate cause is unresolved.
