Alleged Aug 16, 1945 crash near San Antonio, New Mexico (close to the Trinity atomic-test site), publicized by Jacques Vallee and Paola Harris in their 2021 self-published book 'Trinity: The Best-Kept Secret.' Two recovered metal fragments were analyzed (report UT090): identical compositions of aluminum alloyed primarily to copper and silicon, matching common terrestrial cast-aluminum 3XX.X and 2XX.X alloy series (uses include engine parts, oil pans, tanks). Isotopic ratios for nickel, copper, and zinc all compared to terrestrial values. Widely contested; some investigators (James Clarkson) label the case a hoax.
