The MEDIA-AMPLIFIER layer of UAP claims. Validation (2026-07-15) found podcasts are amplifiers, not origins — 94% of sampled claims predate the show that aired them. Podcasts connect to claims via `aired_on`; a claim's TRUE origin (document / hearing / event) is linked via `originates_from`.

Two-layer 'digital thread' model (see research_outputs/claim-pipeline-validation-test-2026-07-15.md): (1) ORIGIN layer — primary documents, hearings and events (e.g. the 1947 Twining memo, the 2004 Nimitz encounter, the Grusch ICIG complaint, OpenNet/Blue Book records) reached via `originates_from`; (2) AMPLIFIER layer — the podcasts/shows that recirculate a claim, reached via `aired_on`. Shows are tiered A(journalist) / B(researcher) / C(mainstream amplifier) / D(indie) / E(paranormal); the tier is the show's editorial character, NOT the claim's evidentiary weight. Machine tier-tagging is reliable at the coarse 3-band level (strong-evidence / alleged / folklore, kappa=0.80) but not at the documented-vs-official-record split (kappa=0.49) — treat the fine split as human-review-only.
