Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio is the USAF's premier research-and-development and logistics base and the historical home of Air Force UFO investigation (Project Sign/Grudge/Blue Book) and the Foreign Technology Division. In UFO lore it is the alleged final destination for Roswell debris and the supposed location of 'Hangar 18 / the Blue Room' storing alien bodies and wreckage. It matters as the institutional anchor of crash-retrieval mythology; the USAF categorically denies holding any extraterrestrial remains, and no 'Hangar 18' exists (there is a Building 18).
