Conceived by Frank Drake and championed by Jill Tarter, the ATA (formerly One Hectare Telescope) was funded by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation and Nathan Myhrvold. Operational since Oct 2007 with 42 of a planned 350 6.1-m offset-Gregorian dishes, it uses interferometry and a wide 0.5–11.2 GHz band to do commensal radio astronomy and SETI simultaneously. It has supported Breakthrough Listen and Wow!-signal follow-ups (Harp et al. 2020).
