Roswell Memory-Metal / Nitinol Claim.

disputedcrash_retrievalPrivate Aerospace Contractors

Claim that Battelle analyzed Roswell 'memory metal' under a 1949 Wright-Pat contract, foreshadowing Nitinol.

Advanced chiefly by Anthony Bragalia: a 1949 Battelle report (contract AF33(038)-3736) on NiTi alloy allegedly studied Roswell debris and is cited by later memory-metal work. Conventional history credits Nitinol to Buehler/Wang at the Naval Ordnance Laboratory c.1961-62 (name = NIckel TItanium Naval Ordnance Lab). The 1949 report is reportedly missing from USAF and Battelle — read as suppression by proponents, ordinary loss by skeptics. Unverified.
