Founded 1931 by Harold Edgerton, Kenneth Germeshausen, Herbert Grier. From 1947 designed nuclear-test firing systems; prime NTS contractor ~40 years. Its Special Projects division provided engineering, radar cross-section testing, and logistics at Groom Lake, moving its RCS facility there in 1959 for the CIA A-12.
