Erik Bard is a physicist with a background in electrophotography, X-ray analytical instruments, and the M-DISC archival optical storage. Long-time scientific collaborator of Brandon Fugal predating the ranch purchase. As principal investigator/chief scientist he designs and runs the sensor networks, EM monitoring, long-term data-acquisition, LiDAR and surveillance grid — the documented data-collection backbone of the show (he mans the command center while Taylor runs field tests). Reputation built on instrumentation/methodology rather than sensational claims.
