Galileo first commissioning results (Domine 2025).
documentedresearch_programScientific Instrumentation & Sensor Data
First peer-reviewed Galileo field data (~500k objects, Jan-May 2024): all resolved to mundane objects; no confirmed UAP. An honest null result.
Domine et al. (Sensors 25, 783, 2025) analyzed ~500,000 airborne objects recorded over five months by the Harvard observatory. About 16% were flagged as outliers and 144 trajectories stayed ambiguous, but all classified to birds, insects, aircraft, balloons, clouds, and satellites. The team cited lack of distance measurement as the key limitation, to be addressed by multi-station triangulation. The candid 'nothing anomalous yet' framing drew little media attention.
