The Galileo Project is a Harvard-led scientific program launched in July 2021 by astrophysicist Avi Loeb to search systematically for UAP and interstellar technosignatures using calibrated, multi-sensor ground stations feeding machine-learning analysis. It explicitly applies open, reproducible astronomical methods to a field long dominated by anecdote. It matters as the most prominent academic, instrument-first approach to the UAP question.
