Project Identification (Harley Rutledge, 1973-80).

documentedfield_studyThe Galileo Project

The first real-time INSTRUMENTED scientific UFO field study: physicist Harley Rutledge's 7-year investigation of the Piedmont, Missouri light-ball flap (158 stations, magnetometers/spectrometers/telescopes).

The historical precedent for modern instrumented monitoring (Hessdalen AMS, Sky360). Rutledge, a physics chair, entered as a skeptic; his interpretation that the team 'interacted with an intelligence' is alleged/hypothesis, but the calibrated real-time methodology was pioneering (book: Project Identification, 1981).
