Automatic Measurement Station ('Blue Box', later joined by a 'White Box') set in operation Aug 1998 by Østfold University College: EM measuring equipment, VLF/ELF/UHF radio receivers, cameras, radar; 24/7 acquisition, classic 4 Dec 1999 video, live colour stream since 2012. One of the longest-running instrumented 'targeted search' UAP studies. Ownership moved Østfold UC → Visit Hessdalen AS on 26 Feb 2021.
The Hessdalen Automatic Measurement Station ('Blue Box') is a permanent automated camera and sensor installation in the Hessdalen valley, Norway, logging recurrent light phenomena since 1998. It is a documented scientific instrument, not a sighting itself, and supports ongoing study of the unexplained Hessdalen lights. It represents a rare instrumented, long-term UAP monitoring effort.
