Born from the Field Operations Group after Eagle Claw and made permanent as USAISA on March 3, 1981, ISA performs deep clandestine HUMINT and SIGINT to support direct-action units. It rotates Top-Secret two-word codenames (Centra Spike, Torn Victor, Gray Fox, etc.) and is headquartered at Fort Belvoir, VA. Documented operations span El Salvador, the Escobar hunt, the Balkans, Mogadishu, Saddam's capture, and the bin Laden hunt. Its secrecy fuels but does not substantiate UAP claims.
