Manhattan housewife allegedly floated from her 12th-floor window into a UFO near the Brooklyn Bridge on 30 Nov 1989; Budd Hopkins' famous multi-witness 'Witnessed' case.
Around 3 a.m. on 30 November 1989 Napolitano claimed three grays beamed her from her Lower East Side apartment into a craft. Budd Hopkins said ~23 witnesses corroborated it, including two security guards and a high UN official, and published it as Witnessed (1996). None of the corroborating witnesses were ever publicly identified or verified. Skeptics Klass, Sheaffer, and Stefula/Butler/Hansen alleged parallels to the novel Nighteyes; Hopkins' ex-wife Carol Rainey called the case cherry-picked. Napolitano sued over the 2024 Netflix documentary.
