Operação Prato ("Operation Saucer").

Operacao Prato ('Operation Saucer') was a 1977 official Brazilian Air Force field investigation, based in Para state, into the Colares 'chupa-chupa' wave in which islanders reported light beams causing burns and blood-loss symptoms. The team gathered roughly 500 pages of reports plus photographs and film, later released in the FAB archives. It matters as a rare instance of a military deploying to document an ongoing UFO flap in real time; the records are authentic, though the cause of the reported injuries remains disputed.
