On 2 Sept 2015, security personnel at the Pantex Plant (DOE nuclear weapons assembly/disassembly facility near Panhandle, TX; operated for DOE by Consolidated Nuclear Security with Sandia National Laboratories) observed an unidentified object described as a 'diamond type-shape...more round at the top,' 'drone-like,' very high 'like it was just under the clouds,' with no scheduled drone flights that day. The FOIA-released DOE report was obtained by UAP Register. Sandia National Laboratories produced enhanced images of the object, later released as file DOE-UAP-D001 'Enhanced PANTEX Imagery' (Release 02, 22 May 2026). UAP Register has appealed the redactions and weighed litigation for the full unredacted Sandia analysis. NUFORC reports from former employees describe earlier diamond-shaped sightings at the site.
