Former Burbank police commissioner and Scientologist who joined SRI/SCANATE in 1973. Widely considered the most talented viewer and the only one said to read words and numbers. Famous for the 1974 URDF-3/Semipalatinsk session (cranes, gantries, a 60-ft metal sphere) and for a personal file of claimed alien underground bases. Died of an apparent heart attack in Las Vegas, July 1975, amid lasting conspiracy speculation.
