Battelle's code-named statistical UFO study for the USAF (1952-54), originally a Soviet-tech-warfare assessment; produced Special Report No. 14.
Commissioned via Edward Ruppelt to make Blue Book scientific, Project Stork built the standardized report form and encoded ~3,200 cases onto IBM punch cards. Four Battelle analysts sorted cases into knowns/unknowns/insufficient information. The work culminated in Project Blue Book Special Report No. 14 (1955). The Pentacle Memo explicitly references coordinating Stork's disclosures with ATIC.
