The Quarouble case is a documented French close-encounter report from 10 September 1954, when metalworker Marius Dewilde claimed to see a dark object on the railway tracks near Valenciennes and reported being temporarily paralyzed. Investigators noted indentations in the rail-bed ballast cited as physical traces. It is one of the most-cited cases of the major 1954 French UFO wave.
