Senior MoD official (retired as undersecretary, 1977) who headed Defence Secretariat 8 (1969–72) and later became a credible UFO author and Society for Psychical Research figure.
Noyes had direct UFO contact via DS8, the branch that publicly handled UFO reports. Post-retirement he wrote about UFOs and crop circles (e.g., 'A Secret Property,' inspired by Rendlesham; editor of 'The Crop Circle Enigma'), claimed to have seen 1950s RAF gun-camera UAP film at a 1970 MoD screening (films never relocated), and by 1987 publicly accused the MoD of lying about Rendlesham. Regarded as an unusually credible insider voice, though his strongest claims remain unverified.
