AEC Security Patrol trooper, primary named witness of the 15 Oct 1950 Oak Ridge close encounter (BBU 819).
Rymer, an Atomic Energy Security Service trooper, was on duty near the University of Tennessee research farm when he and caretaker John Moneymaker observed the hovering silver objects. He reportedly walked toward the object, which then shrank and maneuvered away over a fence and tree line. His account, corroborated by Moneymaker and Capt. Zarzecki, anchors the Blue Book Unknown. The CIC vetted the witnesses' reliability via employment and FBI records.
