Real May 2026 PURSUE re-release of FBI 62-HQ-83894 with Oak Ridge content; centers on 1947 photos + Mar 1950 radar, NOT a new Oct-1950 declass.

VERIFICATION RESULT: the 2026 release event is real and primary-sourced (war.gov PURSUE, 8 May 2026). However the prior framing was overstated. The Oak Ridge material is part of FBI file 62-HQ-83894, which was previously on the FBI Vault (heavily redacted); the 2026 version is largely a less-redacted re-release plus several new pages. Its Oak Ridge content centers on the July 1947 Presley photos and 1 March 1950 radar pings — not the famous October 1950 Rymer/Moneymaker flap, which is long-public Blue Book/NICAP material.
