Oak Ridge Rymer–Moneymaker Sighting (Oct 15 1950, BBU 819).

On October 15, 1950, ~3:20 pm near the Solway Gate of the Oak Ridge control zone, AEC Security Service Trooper Edward D. Rymer and caretaker John Moneymaker watched two shiny silver bullet- or bladder-shaped objects descend in a controlled dive trailing smoke; one approached within ~210 ft, leveled to ~6 ft above ground, then hovered ~50 ft from the observers, repeatedly leaving and returning. Knoxville radar showed strange targets at the same moment; an F-82 was scrambled and saw nothing. The case is carried on the Project Blue Book master list as an Unidentified (#819) — ATIC could not explain it. Captain Zarzecki is named in the Blue Book entry.
