Alleged 24 Sep 1947 memo from Truman to SecDef Forrestal authorizing 'Operation Majestic-12'; Truman signature proven a photocopy lifted from a real 1947 memo.
This one-page memo supposedly establishes MJ-12 under Forrestal and Vannevar Bush. Philip Klass and examiner Peter Tytell showed Truman's signature was a pasted-on photocopy of a genuine signature (with identical scratch marks) from a real Truman-to-Bush memo of 1 October 1947. Nickell and Fischer called it an 'incompetent' hybrid. It is the most clearly forged of the core documents.
