Four art students reported a glowing sphere and missing time on Eagle Lake on 26 Aug 1976; shared abduction recall surfaced under hypnosis investigated by Raymond Fowler in 1988-89.
On a 1976 canoe trip Jim Weiner, Jack Weiner, Charlie Foltz and Chuck Rak reported a beam from a large sphere followed by missing time and a burned-down campfire. After Jim's 1988 sleep disturbances, Raymond Fowler ran 15 regression sessions; the men described gray-alien exams, passed polygraphs, and drew matching images (The Allagash Abductions, 1993). In 2016 Chuck Rak recanted the abduction while still affirming an unexplained light. Skeptics tie the imagery to the 1953 film Invaders from Mars.
