Anonymous letter received by APRO c.1980-81 from a purported 1550th ATTW airman describing a dramatic close encounter (16 Jul 1980) involving Civil Air Patrol cadet Craig Weitzel near Pecos/Kirtland: a landed metallic craft and a suited entity. When Benton Jamison located Weitzel in 1985, Weitzel confirmed only a mundane high-altitude silver-object sighting reported to Doty - none of the CE-III details, and no demand to surrender photos. Brad Sparks (1987) attributed the letter to Doty; Moore (1989) confirmed it was 'bait' to recruit an APRO insider on Bennewitz. Classic disinformation artifact, distinct from the genuine AFOSI complaint forms.
