Project Twinkle was a 1950-51 official U.S. program to observe and instrument the 'green fireball' phenomena reported over New Mexico nuclear and military sites. It set up observation posts and cameras but produced inconclusive results and was discontinued. It is a declassified early government attempt at scientific UAP study.
